Holaa buddies. Welcome back as you join me on the journey to Gen-Y. In my past few articles i have written a lot about preparations; how to be popular, how to find your genre, etc. But now we are on the most important stage, we now have to execute our plans.  It’s time now to give shapes to our dreams. It’s time to build the foundation. YOU MUST DREAM ABOUT YOUR SUCCESS,BUT YOU SUCCESS SHOULD NOT BE LIMITED TO YOUR DREAMS.  You have to be firm, you have to be determined, you have to be a champ in order to turn your dreams into a reality. And here i am with some points which might help you to turn into a champ...

SCHEDULING:

 Your schedule should be the first thing you work upon. And remember to  carve your schedule as you want. No customs, no interference. Many people say studying early morning is a boon, but bly me, i can never solve a maths problem with my eyes half shut and my brain still half asleep. If i have to solve it i will find the right time for it, that’s the attitude one must possess. You should have a schedule that amplifies your efficiency and minimizes the pressure on your shoulders.

PRIORITIES:

Have a dozen of tasks to be done in a day?? Well dude you are not special, these days every Tom,Dick and Harry has the same problem. But if you wanna be different be unique you will have to organize them according to priority. If you have an inclination towards guitar you must spend an hor or two with it, even if you have to compromise with your study time. C’mmon dude your destiny is in guitar strings and not history text books. First of all do the things you want to do. And yeahh..  do them by heart.

BE DESPERATE:

Lads are often found with scores of excuses of being too busy to perform a specific task. Well lemme ask you, however busy you are, whatever the circumstances are do you ever forget to breathe?? Are you ever too busy to have your meal??  The answer should be,and is, a big NO. And the reason is that you are desperate for them. The day you become that desperate for  your success, 70% of your job is done.

DETERMINATION:

Get up every day with a mission; Mission to execute a definite portion of your plan before going to bed next time.  If you are preparing for an exam, just think of some topics to study before living your bed, and then complete them anyhow before next session with bed. Don’t have any scope for excuses. Sacrifice your slumber, even your meals and joy for your dream. C’mmon dude nothing can be more joyous than turning your dream into a reality. Some small but definite steps can surely make you reach your goal easily.

QUALITY vs. QUANTITY:

You got to measure your progress report in order shape up your plans for further execution, but have you ever thought about the criteria of this measurement?? If not this is the time when you must think.  Go for quality and not quantity. An hour of intense gym workout is better than three hours of reluctant exercises.  Whenever you are doing anything give it your best shot.

 

UPDATE YOURSELF:

Are you still traveling in a bullock cart when the world is speeding up in a bullet train?? If so, dude you need a bit of catching up. Keep yourself updated with the things evolving in your world. A web developer must be connected to silicon valley to catch up with new trends in web development.

To conclude it all, lemme tell you that no matter how many tips i give, its you who will have to execute it. I can just tell you how to do, but it’s you who is gonna actually do. Pull your socks up and start right now.  

Exploring Yourself..

Holaa buddies!!!  Hope you are racing along your way to be the Gen-Y. You already know what a Gen-Y member is like and how to make fame for your name.  Today we talk about a subtle issue. Today we talk about genre, our field of specialization.

Confused???   India today is home to a population of 118 crores, just imagine how hectic a situation it would be if all of them master in every aspect of life??  Before it just think..Is it even possible?? Can you be a doctor and an engineer at the same time??  Well don’t even try to be one coz you are gonna fail on every aspect. You must know yourself, before the world knows you. You must know your strong points so that you may nourish them, polish them and make them even stronger.  But many of you might still be in complete darkness as to what your strong points actually are.

Bamboozled???  Well here I am with some help..

HOBBIES:

The things you do when you have nothing to do, are certainly in your radar. You do have keen interest in these tasks and are better than many at performing them. I would like to quote myself as an example here...  I always had an inclination towards public speaking.  I was caught many a times in front of mirror babbling to myself with face full of expressions, and a decade later I rose to be one of the best orators of my school, getting many dozens trophies in debates, extempore and group discussions.

A nice hobby (or to be precise set of nice hobbies) is like having a strong foundation, you just have to build the walls with a touch of proficiency and you will get on your tasks as easily as a hot knife on butter. And for those who have sleeping as their hobbies...Well I categorize it as their laziness, and it’s high time for them now to do something.  Reading, penning down rhymes or even thinking unnatural is blessings to have as a hobby. For those who are still pondering over thinking unnatural part, J.K Rowling, author of famous Harry Potter series, was an unnatural thinker and was struck with the idea of Harry Potter series during a train journey when she was drenched deep in her hobby session.

ACTIVITIES WITH POSITIVE OUTCOMES:

Suppose you score a hat-trick every time you go on football ground, but end up in failure on every attempt to solve a maths problem... Your reign my friend is that football ground and not the maths class. Many of us want to be good at something because our parents, relative, society members want us to be good at that particular thing. Our own interests, our own desires are all buried in our hearts. But we are the only culprits of this circumstance.  You must be brave enough to present the world of your interest in front of your parents.

You are good at something that definitely means you are interested in it, and this interest can even make you climb the Everest.  Sachin Tendulkar would never have been a Bharat Ratna had he been a footballer. But he dared to present his vision in front of his parents and today he needs no introduction.

 It’s time now guys when you must introduce yourself to the champ in you; the champ who is a guitarist, the champ who is basketball addict, the champ who can capture the world in his camera and the permutations are unless. 

Now since you have already figured out your way, let me assist you walking on it.

 SEARCH OTHER PEOPLE LIKE YOU:

 

You always learn faster when you learn with someone else. If you are a dancer, look around for other dance lovers in your school, college or anywhere in your circle. And you will soon realize learning with him/her is so much fun. And yes it also keeps a spirit of competition alive and thus motivates you to enhance your skill level.

ALWAYS BE IN HUNT TO SHOWCASE YOUR TALENT:

Now since you already had an introduction with the champ in you, it’s time to introduce him/her to the world. Never ever let a chance of showcasing your talent go. On the contrary grab it with both hands. Make a clever use of internet and look for the various events organised in your city and make your way to one which suits your art. Eliminate the hesitation. It’s time to portray your talent on the canvas of world stage. Be desperate for a win, but never make it your sole aim. Whenever you participate in any competition keep your mind open and learn as much as you can.

DECORATE YOUR ART WITH INNOVATIONS:

Innovation in your work is just like adding CSS in your HTML. It increases its credibility, elaborates its efficiency and safeguards its usability. Always try to do something new and out of the box. Ornamentation is necessary in this materialised world.  If you are good at something, there are millions like you. But if you can innovate, you are the boss buddy!!!

None other knows you better than you yourselves, and you don't have a google to assist you in searching your genre; you yourself have to extract it out.Remember Gen-Y is a generation of experts; you have to expertise in your field, if you wanna expertise in this world. So keep reading, keep following and keep proceeding on the way to be a Gen-Y!!!

Its time to be famous!!!

And here I am back following up the previous article about Gen-Y. Continuing from where I left, this is for the teens who are eager beaver to get popular. I present an open forum for the discussion of social lives of teens. The Gen-Y is professional; it knows how to handle people and circumstances. The Gen-Y no longer wants to be a part of crowd and audience the drama taking on place on world stage. It is no longer happy to be a Tom, Dick or Harry; no one aspires to be a 'Mr. /Ms. Anyone’.  The Gen-Y wants to be ‘Mr. /Ms. Someone’.  Being the head boy of  my institution I have observed the aura of being popular very closely, be with me as I guide you  to the same...

Attitude

The first thing that third person observes in you is your attitude. But before you know how to enhance your attitude, let me draw a clear demarcation between Attitude, Ego and Self-Respect. On a casual observation these words may seem to be synonymous but take a halt guys, you are members of Gen-Y, these three words are as different as A, B, C.  Make a note when I say, Enhance your attitude, raise your self respect and subdue your ego.

Make your problems face your attitude, not the fellow batch mates. A never giving up attitude charms the people more than anything else.  Real men shine when the aura is darkest. Fight your way out through the darkest parts of the jungle and shine like a polestar,  and I bet , you will be the topic of discussion.

Social Status

You cant be popular until and unless you are in touch with the  people. You might put up a contradiction over this, quoting the examples of celebrities. But even those busy people have blogs, twitter and fb accounts just for the sake of communication with general public. You have to be in touch with as many people as possible. Though you must know how to choose your company. Being in touch with proclaimed insolvents will also make you popular, but for  bad reasons. What Gen-Y is expected to do is, make a wiser use of social networking sites like fb and micro blogging sites like twitter. C’mon guys fb is not a place to run behind girls, liking their pics, commenting on their status. It is much more useful than that. Search for a group or page of your interest, like it, follow it. Take part in open discussions, make your presence felt. And you will yourself find your social status rising.  

BE TECHNICAL

Before I write anything on this subheading, let me make myself very clear. You don’t need to get a B.Tech for thinking technically. You just need to be in  a right frame of mind. Be tactical, always have a strategy. The most valuable employers of a firm are  the ones working in its R&D department, just because they have a strategy. Search for a right platform, a right time to showcase your talent, to maximise the output. Plan your moves to perfection, and be clear in your thoughts.

TAKE RESPONSIBILITIES

 With great powers come great responsibilities and vice-verse with huge responsibilities also come great powers. And everyone knows the powerful. Never hesitate in taking up responsibility, though you must prepare yourself beforehand for them. Be the one everyone can bank upon for any kind of work, and you will be the one searched for.

Apart from this, i would recommend all of you to go through this.
