Holaa buddies!!!  Hope you are racing along your way to be the Gen-Y. You already know what a Gen-Y member is like and how to make fame for your name.  Today we talk about a subtle issue. Today we talk about genre, our field of specialization.

Confused???   India today is home to a population of 118 crores, just imagine how hectic a situation it would be if all of them master in every aspect of life??  Before it just think..Is it even possible?? Can you be a doctor and an engineer at the same time??  Well don’t even try to be one coz you are gonna fail on every aspect. You must know yourself, before the world knows you. You must know your strong points so that you may nourish them, polish them and make them even stronger.  But many of you might still be in complete darkness as to what your strong points actually are.

Bamboozled???  Well here I am with some help..

HOBBIES:

The things you do when you have nothing to do, are certainly in your radar. You do have keen interest in these tasks and are better than many at performing them. I would like to quote myself as an example here...  I always had an inclination towards public speaking.  I was caught many a times in front of mirror babbling to myself with face full of expressions, and a decade later I rose to be one of the best orators of my school, getting many dozens trophies in debates, extempore and group discussions.

A nice hobby (or to be precise set of nice hobbies) is like having a strong foundation, you just have to build the walls with a touch of proficiency and you will get on your tasks as easily as a hot knife on butter. And for those who have sleeping as their hobbies...Well I categorize it as their laziness, and it’s high time for them now to do something.  Reading, penning down rhymes or even thinking unnatural is blessings to have as a hobby. For those who are still pondering over thinking unnatural part, J.K Rowling, author of famous Harry Potter series, was an unnatural thinker and was struck with the idea of Harry Potter series during a train journey when she was drenched deep in her hobby session.

ACTIVITIES WITH POSITIVE OUTCOMES:

Suppose you score a hat-trick every time you go on football ground, but end up in failure on every attempt to solve a maths problem... Your reign my friend is that football ground and not the maths class. Many of us want to be good at something because our parents, relative, society members want us to be good at that particular thing. Our own interests, our own desires are all buried in our hearts. But we are the only culprits of this circumstance.  You must be brave enough to present the world of your interest in front of your parents.

You are good at something that definitely means you are interested in it, and this interest can even make you climb the Everest.  Sachin Tendulkar would never have been a Bharat Ratna had he been a footballer. But he dared to present his vision in front of his parents and today he needs no introduction.

 It’s time now guys when you must introduce yourself to the champ in you; the champ who is a guitarist, the champ who is basketball addict, the champ who can capture the world in his camera and the permutations are unless. 

Now since you have already figured out your way, let me assist you walking on it.

 SEARCH OTHER PEOPLE LIKE YOU:

 

You always learn faster when you learn with someone else. If you are a dancer, look around for other dance lovers in your school, college or anywhere in your circle. And you will soon realize learning with him/her is so much fun. And yes it also keeps a spirit of competition alive and thus motivates you to enhance your skill level.

ALWAYS BE IN HUNT TO SHOWCASE YOUR TALENT:

Now since you already had an introduction with the champ in you, it’s time to introduce him/her to the world. Never ever let a chance of showcasing your talent go. On the contrary grab it with both hands. Make a clever use of internet and look for the various events organised in your city and make your way to one which suits your art. Eliminate the hesitation. It’s time to portray your talent on the canvas of world stage. Be desperate for a win, but never make it your sole aim. Whenever you participate in any competition keep your mind open and learn as much as you can.

DECORATE YOUR ART WITH INNOVATIONS:

Innovation in your work is just like adding CSS in your HTML. It increases its credibility, elaborates its efficiency and safeguards its usability. Always try to do something new and out of the box. Ornamentation is necessary in this materialised world.  If you are good at something, there are millions like you. But if you can innovate, you are the boss buddy!!!

None other knows you better than you yourselves, and you don't have a google to assist you in searching your genre; you yourself have to extract it out.Remember Gen-Y is a generation of experts; you have to expertise in your field, if you wanna expertise in this world.
